My second record had something my debut didn't have: a band. Where I Sometimes Think was a solo effort with me singing, and playing every track, Naked was built with a full group around him, and the difference shows. As Dean Poling wrote in my hometown Valdosta Daily Times, the album is "both more raw in its emotional impact while more refined in its musicianship and production.”

The songs cover a lot of territory – love, love gone bad, running, the stress of the office, the Zen of the river, runaways, prostitution, and death. The opener is Catch Me If You Can, and it sets the tone immediately. Wildy's World called it "a catchy rocker with a candy-coated chorus you won't soon get out of your head." And one that earned genuine radio traction, landing in the Top 10 most-added songs to playlists according to FMQB. Ross Christopher at Awaken Music noted it "comes across like a blend of Counting Crows and Blue October."

Christopher called Something Smells Fishy "jammy and catchy," while Wildy's World declared it "likely to be a fan favorite, particularly live." A Day in My Shoes builds around what Christopher described as "a great, soaring lead guitar riff." And buried in the middle is a cover of the Partridge Family's "I Think I Love You" that – as Susan Asher noted – Baskin pulls off "with aplomb and originality."

"If its textured Americana alt/pop-rock that you're into," Christopher wrote, "then you'll dig Naked." Clearly, these guys knew their way inside a studio.
