The House Party
We put on a show at my house to get a feel for the house party format. We had about forty friends and neighbors in the room. They listened, they laughed and they sang along. Daisy, the border collie, had a great seat for most of the set – right under my feet. It’s such a fun way to play a show, and I’d like to play one for you.
I’m Steve Baskin, an Atlanta-based Pop Americana songwriter with seven records and twenty years of making them. I’m focused on solo-acoustic shows and touring with stories between the songs.

I’m booking house concerts around Georgia and the Southeast. If you’ve got a room and a group of friends, tell me a bit about it and let’s put a date on the calendar.
How a house party evening works
The room: A living room or similar space – suitable for the audience to focus on the music
The audience: 20–40 guests, invited by you
The music: Two sets of about 40 or 45 minutes with a short break in the middle – complete with intimate stories about the songs, the records and background (I’ve also got talented singer-songwriter friends if you wanted to do a show with two artists)
The sound: I bring everything and need nothing but a place to play, an outlet and a great audience
The timeline: I arrive about 90 minutes early to set up and stay afterward to talk and sign records
What a host does
You invite the guests and host the event. I’ll provide an invite text, a flyer, and photos to help. Guests make a suggested donation of $20 at the door or in advance, which goes to the artist. I’ll bring vinyl records and CDs to sell at the show. Nothing else is required of you.
Loved It
“Seeing Steve Baskin's stripped-down performances of his smart, tuneful songs in the intimate setting of his Atlanta living room made for a magical Saturday night—thanks, Steve!” Mark M
“No venue is too big for Steve Baskin, nor is any venue too small. Seeing Steve in his living room was kind of like how a chef will reduce a sauce to intensify the flavors. The flavors of his voice, his musicianship, his presence, his songwriting, and his versatility all became more intense.” Jeff U
"What an incredible evening! Steve's music lends itself so nicely to the intimate setting of a house party. He brings a mix of soulful ballads and high-energy toe-tappers, along with a few classic covers for the sing-alongs. We also got to hear the backstories and hilarious anecdotes behind the songs, as well as stories about Steve's life and career. Can't wait for the next one!" Guillermo S
“A comfortable seat, a glass of wine and a dog at my knee, listening to a fantastic acoustic set. I’ve been to many a cafe, winery and listening room, but an in-home concert is by far the ideal venue to experience a live musical performance.” Ashley S
“Great energy, terrific in voice and interesting arrangements of songs I’d heard many times with his band, The Fourteens.” Roy T
